What the app does

Playlists

Keep more than one playlist. Add an M3U address, an M3U file, or Xtream Codes.

TV guide

The XMLTV guide is a grid. It shows 8 days back and 48 hours ahead.

Catch-up

Catch-up works for M3U catch-up tags and for the Xtream archive.

Groups

Rename a group, hide it, or change the order. Lock a group with a PIN. The PIN is stored as a hash on the device.

Favourites and search

Favourites are kept per playlist. Recently watched is there too. Search finds channels, films, and series.

Changing channel

Use the number keys, or Up and Down. A now and next strip stays on screen while you watch.

Picture in picture

Picture in picture works on Android 8 and newer.

Films and series

Xtream films and series are in the app.

Refresh, backup, restore

The playlist and the guide can refresh on their own. You can back up settings and restore them.

Player options

Set the aspect ratio, audio track, and subtitle track. Set the buffer size. Choose HLS or MPEG-TS. Set a custom user agent.

Screens

Drawn examples of the layout. They are not recordings of a broadcast, and they do not use real channel names.

Channel list, with groups.
Player, with now and next.

FAQ

Does the app include channels?

No. It plays sources you add. You need the right to use them.

Is this made by the TiviMate authors?

No. It is an independent player with a similar idea: your playlist, a guide, and a layout that works with a remote.

Which devices does it run on?

Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, and Android phones. Picture in picture needs Android 8 or newer.

How does the trial work?

The app is usable for 7 days. The clock starts the first time that device contacts the licence service. Installing again does not start a new trial for the same device id.

What does a licence include?

A one-off lifetime licence for the player, on up to 5 devices. It does not include channels, playlists, or programmes. The price is £17.

Can I lock groups with a PIN?

Yes. The PIN is stored as a hash on the device. It is not sent to us.

Can I record, use multi-view, or set reminders?

Not yet. Those are listed under later work. They are not in the app.

What does the app send over the network?

Playlist, guide, and provider addresses you enter. The update file. And the licence service, for the trial and for a key. Details are in the privacy policy.

Changelog

Release notes show here when this page can read the update file. The download button uses the published APK link either way.
